INTRODUCTION
A top international retail is seeking a Logistics Specialist! The role will involve the main responsibilities of imports coordination, supplier management, process improvement. In addition to assist in maintaining optimal space according to warehouse activity and inventory, and e-commerce transportation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Imports Coordination:
- collaborate with suppliers (custom brokers, freight forwarders, transportation) to ensure timely delivery stores and warehouses
- monitor import schedules, track shipments, manage documentation to ensure compliance with customs regulations and internal policies
- communicate with sores and warehouses to inform about delivery arrangement and eventual irregularities
- validate suppliers' invoices and record in internal system
Supplier Management:
- build and maintain strong relationships with international and local partners to ensure effective communication, adherence with guidelines and engagement toward long-term business relationship
- negotiate terms, pricing, lead times to secure favorable terms for the business
- address any issues or concerns related to service quality
Process Improvement:
- identify opportunities to streamline and improve import processes to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times
- work with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements and automation solutions
Local Warehouse: assist in maintaining optimal space according to warehouse activity and inventory
E-commerce transport: monitor service performance of courier company and propose improvement points
Team Leadership: assist the logistics department manager in overseeing the team's daily operations
REQUIRED SKILLS
- proficiency in MS Excel (vlookup, pivot table)
- Business English, Business Japanese
