Is a European consumer services company looking for a Country Manager to lead the acceleration of the growth of the business in Japan. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to enrich the life of others: an entrepreneur.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reports to the APAC Managing Director
- Responsible for the P&L with the mission of growing significantly and achieving sustainable profits
- Formulate a clear sales strategy and achieving revenue and commercial targets for Japan built around high participation investment programmes across grocery and convenience
- Innovate and push the boundaries with retailers to challenge conventional thinking, applying data and insight-led approaches when needed
- Personally play a sales leadership role by engaging closely with C-suite to onboard target grocery and convenience clients
- Lead a team of 20
- Develop positive relationships with HQ and regional sales office to leverage company-wide expertise and business insights that can be applied to Japan
- Manage stock levels appropriately in Japan to free up cashflow and reduce warehousing costs
REQUIREMENTS
- Operational fluency in both English and Japanese
- 12-15 years of impactful sales leadership in Japan
- Strong business acumen, conversant in the P&L
- Background in solution-based sales.
- Knowledge of grocery helpful
- Comfortable with using data/insights in sales
- Capable of working with Japanese clients
- Experienced in building relationships and selling to the C-suite
- Proven people leader, able to quickly establish buy-in
