This role is responsible for all aspects of HR management for the Tokyo office and will play an important role in supporting the on-going development of a high-quality HR service based on regional and global strategy. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Give commercial and strategic support to Partners and Managers with employee relations issues
  • Proactively drive and support local and global employee engagement initiatives
  • Responsible for recruitment and on-boarding and off-boarding of employees
  • Handling international mobility, secondment, work permit and visa arrangements
  • Responsible for the management of the annual employee processes including salary review, bonus calculations and HR budgets
  • Drive a strong feedback culture via the performance review process
  • Responsible for data input and reporting from the global people management system, workday
  • Management of employee benefits for the office in consultation with regional benefits manager
  • Managing payroll and the day-to-day practical functions of a busy HR function
  • Roll out and localisation of global and regional HR projects

Ideal Requirements

  • Japan HR expertise, professional services an advantage, but not essential
