Is looking for a Marketing Director to lead Marketing Strategy of the business in Japan. Japan is a key market within APAC, with high interest from HQ. This person is expected to strengthen brand perception, increase market penetration and enhance consumer insights.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- As a member of the Management Team, collaborate to achieve commercial objectives and longer-term strategic objectives
- Be a role model for company culture
- Manage, motivate and develop team in a way consistent with company culture
- Ensure efficient collaboration with multiple internal stakeholders
- Develop optimized marketing plan in consultation with local General Management and Regional Marketing
- Proactively manage all product lines, including new product recommendations
- Develop promotion measures in line with sales and support functions
- Recommend and develop local consumer communication campaigns in line with Group brand management guidelines, with the objective of growing market penetration, brand awareness and consumer lifetime value.
- Lead and motivate Customer Center staff (outsourced) to interact effectively with consumers
- Responsible together with Group market research for the effective usage of market research tools
- Recommendation on needs and development of action plans based on market research data
REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years’ leadership experience with multi-functional teams across sales and marketing, preferably in FMCG
- Effective collaboration with functional counterparts
- Implementing marketing initiatives in a hands-on manner
- Experience and deep knowledge of P&L management
- MBA/postgraduate degree a plus.
- Spoken and written English and Japanese language skills are essential
